In BPHS there is a sloka which indicates that “Grief will not be there if Saturn is bereft of strength”
Here are some of the comments about Lord Saturn-
– Saturn is significator of learnings and outcomes through struggle, hardships, sorrow, griefs etc.. Even in good house and good positions, will yeild the results in the same manner but probably the results will be what you desire. Debilitated state will give the results in the same manner but not the desired outcomes. You will always feel that there is no meaning of this success now and it has already been too late. Still you will use those results or outcomes for the responsibilities around you.
Being breft of strength is not the state of debilitation or exaltion. Strength or the lack of it for planets comes from many factors combined like house Rashi digbala aspects and many more.
–In other dimension if you see greatest learnings and depth maturity only comes when there is immense suffering. Saturn is the karka of transformation and when teaches hard you always remember and make positive steps by his learning.
Weak Saturn is loosing his strength to give you pain and depth aka suffering. In other words native is trying to avoid suffering and pain by escapism not programmed to learn his lessons. Example weak debeliated saturn in Aries doesnt’ have patience to question their doings and take responsibility they’re always in rush. So in a way they missed the pain and teachings coming from it.
-From my personal understanding, a strong saturn will help you understand the significance of the sorrow and deal with it in a better way leading to positive transformation. Similarly, with a weak saturn native will find excuses to not deal with the cause of sorrow and hence not be able to achieve the positive transformation. Do note that strong and weak is not limited to exaltation and debilitation only.
–Saturn is very comfortable and gives good results only in the 7th house till the 12th house of our Birth chart while in other houses from Ascendant till 6th house, Saturn becomes very uncomfortable and gives bad results….From Ascendant till 6th house is known as descending houses which represents 1 year of age till 35 years of age while from 7th house till 12th house is known as Ascending houses which represents 36 years of ages till 72 years of age.So thats why Saturn gives good results only after 36 years of Age as it gets matured enough and also feels comfortable after this Age . Saturn represents Common Public or Masses who want to appoint some eligible person to guide and show them the proper way to follow and always allow their co-partners to have their own point of view ( 7th house significations where Saturn gets exalted ) , Saturn represents those unfortunate and unlucky people who never retaliate but accept everything as their fate or past life Karmic settlement and become happy & peaceful ( 8th house significations) , Saturn represents those disciples who loves to follow the teachings of their Guru & also advise others to follow exactly as Verbatim told by their Guru or Teacher ( 9th house significations) , Saturn represents those employees who likes to work very hard and honestly to complete the given task within the time limit ( 10th house significations ) , Saturn represents those individuals who likes to work & co-ordinate with others in a group for achieving desired results ( 11th house significations) and Lastly Saturn represents those Renunciate, Mendicant or Sanyasis or Sadhus who likes to to live their fag end of their life in isolation and seclusion after doing all their hard work and executing all of their social and religious obligations ( 12th house significations) ….Now the opposite of the 12th house is the 6th house where Saturn becomes a little uncomfortable as here Saturn doesn’t want to deal with Shad-Ripus of greed , lust , anger etc but is happy with serving others , Again opposite of the 11th house is the 5th house where Saturn feels uncomfortable as Saturn doesn’t wants to come into limelight and be the center of attraction of others, similarly Saturn feels uncomfortable in the 4th house which is opposite of 10th house where Saturn lies on the couch doing nothing or working from home or resting and cozying around much to its discomfort and displeasure, Saturn also feels very discomfort in the 3rd house which is opposite to the 9th house as Saturn doesn’t like to take credit for himself for creative ideas and skills which he learnt from his Guru but under the bad influence of his colleagues bad mouths his Guru , Saturn in 2nd house which is opposite of 8th house is not ready to accept his bad fate or poor destiny and wants to prove it wrong and so leave their family and settles far away from his place of birth and wants to make it big ….
-Saturn gives good results from 7th till 12th house of our birth chart as in these houses energies of Jupiter, Ketu, Venus are prevalent. So Native keeps their positive hopes intact & remain optimistic of their future inspite of being in very bad & challenging situations…On the contrary Saturn placed in Ascendant till 6th house , Energies of Mars, Sun & Moon are prominent which are Enemical to Saturn and so Native becomes very Pessimistic towards their future and lose hope very easily and quickly and in most of the suicidal cases which I have observed I have found Saturn is placed in Ascendant till the 6th house or with its lords in later houses ….Saturn is that planet which teaches us that this journey of Soul through which we gather so much experience & knowledge for carrying forward into our next life is more important than reaching any destination which is Illusion. So Saturn’s slogan is ” Journey is more important than destination”. Those who have reached their destination have found nothing in their hands as throughout their journey they were worried and conscious about their destination but never enjoyed their journey where the maximum bliss and happiness is hidden…..Understanding this slogan of Saturn and becoming conscious of this is real Spiritualism else everything is Illusory and fake and this we start realising when we cross 36 years of Age …..Native who is Cancer Ascendant and Saturn is 7th & 8th Lord both and sits in 7th house of Capricorn, marriage and professional life would be challenging. Native has come to experience & gain peace and happiness through serving their spouse , society & humanity. Native will feel burdened if she will think of their own Selfish objectives but the moment they will realise that serving humanity is key to their success then they will liberate themselves from the shackles of pain and sufferings ..

So together these three planets represent our Skeletal bone system upon which our physical body framework rests, takes shape and stands erect.So that’s why these three planets show their true significations after 36 years of age, when the layer of illusion starts dissolving and we understand every aspect of our life in its real avatar just like our skin covering our physical body starts dissolving as we grow older and we start seeing & sensing the skeletal bone underneath our skin ….So from 36-41 yrs of age Saturn matures and gets Activate , from 42-47 yrs of age Rahu matures and from 48-51 yrs of age Ketu matures as then after 51 years of Age native becomes wise and then Jupiter activates till 57 years of age….So after 36 yrs or age, all those planets get activated who are friends and helpful towards Saturn…..
